We are so excited to be able to work with Professor Sherman at Project Cope. Project Cope is about people working with people to build sustainable economies in rural Zambia.Villagers in Zambia face many challenges, including poverty and environmental problems and Project Cope offers several solutions to help solve those problems. You can learn more about them
The best thing about Project Cope is that it doesn't just give villages money or things, it helps to train people how to become successful farmers and business owners so that they can learn how to have a positive impact on the health and wealth of the whole village.Project Cope helps to set up Village Banks, or cooperatives, where every member contributes and can apply for loans.Once the bank is up and running the villagers can start to build their own local economy and not have to rely on outside funding.
